English expression – To shoot the breeze

By Stu Leave a Comment

shoot the breeze

I love to shoot the breeze with my friends and family. It’s one of my favourite hobbies.

Shoot the breeze means to chat with someone in a casual manner with no real objective.

Examples:

I didn’t do much yesterday. Just shot the breeze with Sam.

Jack loves shooting the breeze with friends at the weekend.

If fact, we all love to have a chat with friends. I try to do it as often as I can.

If you are studying for an English exam, you can practice by shooting the breeze in English.

Here’s another English expression for you to look at.
